A recent study suggests that the Providence
Scoliosis System can provide excellent initial in-brace correction and
can be effective in preventing the progression of adolescent idiopathic

scoliosis.
The study, which appeared in the September 2001
issue of Spine, included 102 female patients with adolescent idiopathic
scoliosis. According to the results, with the Providence brace
“Sixty-three percent of thoracic curves and 65 percent of double
curves were successful. Ninety-four percent of lumbar curves were
successful, and 93 percent of thoracolumbar curves were
successful.”
