Dr. James H. Campbell Commitment to Outcomes Award

AOPA is honored to partner with Hanger to award the the Dr. James H. Campbell Commitment to Outcomes Award.

The Award will be given annually.  The funding is provided by Hanger, Inc in honor of Dr. James H. Campbell and his contribution to the field of orthotics and prosthetics through exceptional dedication to achieving the best clinical outcomes for patients.

AOPA will solicit nominations and after review of the candidates, the recipient will be determined by the AOPA Board of Directors

Criteria:  The recipient must be an individual who has made significant and outstanding contributions to the field of prosthetics and orthotics through exceptional dedication to achieving the best clinical outcomes for patients. This may be demonstrated through:

  • A commitment to advancing evidence-based practice in orthotics and prosthetics.
  • Implementation of clinical outcomes program as a standard of care.
  • Dissemination of clinical outcomes-based manuscripts in peer reviewed literature.
  • The adoption of outcomes-based component product development to improve quality of life for orthotic or prosthetic patients
  • The successful implementation of unique processes for capturing validated clinical outcomes in a clinical setting.

No individual can win the award twice.

The award, which will be presented during the Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony at the National Assembly.

The recipient will receive a $3,000 honorarium, two nights hotel at the National Assembly headquarters hotel, complimentary registration, and coach airfare along with a physical award. They will also be featured post show in the O&P Almanac and on AOPA social media. AOPA will also distribute a press release announcing the award winner each year.
