The 2018 AOPA Policy Forum will be in March 7-8 in Washington, DC. The Policy Forum is your best opportunity to learn the latest legislative and regulatory details and how they will affect you, your business and your patients. Once you are armed with the facts, we as a profession will educate our members of Congress to offer common sense solutions and share how the O&P profession restores lives and puts people back to work.
On Wednesday, March 7, AOPA will provide attendees with up-to-date briefings about critical issues confronting the O&P community, and guidance on how to use this information effectively in lobbying members of Congress. The day will conclude with a reception and dinner. The Policy Forum will culminate on Thursday, March 8th with your advocacy visits (scheduled by AOPA) with your elected representatives and their staffers on Capitol Hill. Register now.
Clinician’s notes will now be a part of the medical record in CMS determinations. (Read more.) Your advocacy works! Come educate lawmakers on the issues that are important to you:
- Ensure that veterans maintain the ability to receive care from their chosen provider.
- Make sure O&P remains an Essential Health Benefit
- Prevent the expansion of off-the-shelf orthoses and competitive bidding
- To advance the recognition of criteria which underscore that qualified providers are the ones who can treat patients most effectively, with best outcomes.
AOPA has a special rate of $279/night until February 16. Book by calling 1-800-542-8680 or 703-415-5000 or reserve your room online.
